Professor Yorston completed the Three Peaks Challenge in 2010 raising money for Age UK

In February 2015 Professor Yorston and 12 others raised over £200,000 for the RAF Benevolent Fund by walking over 80 miles from San Carlos Bay to Stanley in the Falkland Islands, recreating the famous yomp of 45 Commando in the 1982 conflict.
Professor Yorston is planning a major fund raising event for the 75th Anniversary of the Dambusters Raid in May 2018.
